A new generation of researchers is shaping the future of education

— Four years after its launch, the members of the first cohort of the joint doctoral program in the learning sciences (JDPLS) offered by EPFL and ETH Zurich are about to put the finishing touches to their dissertations and in the coming months, they will receive a unique diploma bearing the logos of both institutions.

Warm-up helps first-year students hit the ground running

— Classes start this Monday at EPFL for around 2,100 new students. Around 600 of them just took part in the Students4Students preparatory program – a free, week-long “warm-up” given by and for EPFL students.

Generative AI in Education – Workshop Highlights

Graphic novel explains the environmental impact of AI

— EPFL’s Center for Learning Sciences (LEARN) is releasing Utop’IA, an educational graphic novel that explores the environmental impact of artificial intelligence. The book, developed in association with author and illustrator Herji, will be launched at a public event at the Rolex Learning Center at 6:30pm on Tuesday, 20 May.
